Senior Tax Accountant

We are recruiting an in-office, experienced Supervisory Senior Tax Accountant to join our team of 12 in sunny Melbourne, Florida. Requirements
· Five (5) years of progressive tax preparation and planning experience.
· Extensive knowledge of S-Corps, C-Corps, Partnerships, and Individual reporting requirements.
· Knowledge of nonprofits, estates, trusts, multi-state, and consolidated returns.
· An understanding and expertise in the application of Generally Accepted Account Principles (GAAP).
· Proficiency in using Quickbooks Desktop and Online, Xero, and MS Office
· Demonstrated leadership and personnel management skills
Job Functions
· Identify, research, and provide analysis on a wide range of complex tax issues.
· Preparation of complex tax returns (individual, corporate, trust, and partnership returns)
· Stay abreast of developments and changes in tax law and accounting procedures
· Develop and maintain quality client relationships and loyalty
· Supervise workflow of other accountants to ensure customer satisfaction and communication.
· Apply tax technical knowledge to specific client situations.
· Identify tax risk management issues and propose potential solutions.
· Perform a necessary level of review to ensure that relevant issues have been identified and resolved, planning opportunities explored, and returns are complete.
· Provide tax research, projections, and consulting services in response to tax return issues, client requests, and tax planning opportunities.
· Correspond with IRS and state agencies for audits, inquiries, and tax notices.
· Assume certain tax and non-tax administrative responsibilities to assist with the overall management of engagements and the Firm.
· Ability to learn and provide recommendations for technology (including AI) and efficiencies to support the firm.
· Keep abreast of changes in industry regulation while mentoring and providing training as a team leader.
· Ability to prioritize a heavy workload and remain organized.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $79,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
